Grief Support
Aria is the term for a soloist in an opera, a person who sings alone but is accompanied by an orchestra. As our journey through life comes to a close we are surrounded by our own personal orchestra, people who care for us and love us.
Grief begins the moment of terminal diagnosis.
Losing someone you love or care deeply about is very painful. Often, the pain of loss can feel overwhelming. You may experience all kinds of difficult and unexpected emotions, from shock or anger to disbelief, guilt, and profound sadness. The pain of grief can also disrupt your physical health, making it difficult to sleep, eat, or even think straight. These are normal reactions to significant loss.
Coping with the loss of someone you love is one of life’s biggest challenges. Our bereavement staff are here to accompany and support you on your journey through grief for the next 13 months.
Twice a year we offer a Celebration of Remembrance during which we focus on remembering the meaning, purpose, and impact of your loved one’s life.
